HealthCare Chaplaincy Network is a national healthcare nonprofit organization that offers ‒ regardless of religion or beliefs ‒ spiritual-related information and resources, and professional chaplaincy services in hospitals, other healthcare settings, and online. Its mission is to advance the integration of spiritual care in health care through clinical practice, research and education in order to improve patient experience and satisfaction and to help people faced with illness and grief find comfort and meaning, whoever they are, whatever they believe, wherever they are.

Clinical Services
A number of research studies provide evidence that over 70% of Americans believe that spirituality is a crucial aspect of their healthcare. For over 50 years, we have been providing spiritual care to millions of patients and their loved ones. Our experience and innovative services are why we are recognized as a leading source in the United States for spiritual care clinical services, consulting, training, and quality improvement. This includes the growing field of palliative care.

Education
HealthCare Chaplaincy Network offers a large selection of Professional Continuing Education (PCE) and Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) programming and resources for its chaplain constituency and the broad spectrum of spiritual care and healthcare providers.

Research
HealthCare Chaplaincy Network has long been a leader in advancing research on the integration of spiritual care within health care. Our first annual Caring for the Human Spirit® conference (March 31-April 3, 2014) released the largest body of research on spiritual care in health care, presented the first empirical data on the role and effectiveness of chaplaincy care interventions, and launched the new field of interdisciplinary research in spiritual care in health care. This will drive the research agenda for years to come.
